Soundcamp collective and radio artist Kate Donovan host an open radio space and workshop-hub at the Homebase in Het HEM, with microphone and transistor building, dusk listening and fieldwalks, tuning to live sounds of the site.

In October 2022, the partners will collaborate on a public 'Exhibition of Sounds' in Aix, produced by Locus Sonus and presenting work created over the course of the project as well as talks, presentations and site-derived installations and performances. The exhibition takes place in venues in and around ESAAIX as well as presenting works along sections of the GR2013 trail in partnership with Bureau des Guides and the students and faculty of the art school.

Artist Natalie Sharp undertook a short residency in and around the Ravenglass Estuary as part of Acoustic Commons, with support from arts organisation RE Drift. Natalie spent 6 days on site during June 2022, developing a new performance work. Outcomes included: a performance at Drigg Dunes as part of Soundcamp (30th April 22); a work in progress event (25th June) at Drigg Dunes; and a performance at Cookes Studios, Barrow, UK (Sept 24th 2022) alongside invited artist Ellie Hoskins.

Land to Care, Land to Return was a week of workshops with Museum of Odessa Modern Art and artists in Ukraine, focusing on how war has affected everyday experiences of sound.

The event took place in the coastal village of Ravenglass and Drigg Sand Dunes, a site of special scientific interest (SSI) managed by Cumbria Wildlife Trust. Activities took the form of a guided walk across the dunes, with 3 artist-led performances taking place at sites along the route.

Due to restrictions in the UK, the event was adapted to be held as a daytime event in Barrow’s Public Park on the open air bandstand, within covid safe conditions. Including performances and Workshops from Maja Bugge and Danielle Chappell made in response to the Reveil global dawn chorus stream.

Soundcamp 2021 will head out-side, bringing together events at different scales at points of listening around the earth.

REVEIL relays the sounds of live open microphones operated by streamers on the Locus Sonus soundmap, Cyberforest programme, LIDO deep water hydrophone observatory, BIOM Open Microphone network, and elsewhere. It spans from formal research to domestic projects and one-off broadcasts.

Acoustic Commons invites participants to join a one-week workshop, taking place online and across project spaces in Aix (Locus Sonus), Ljubljana (CONA), Barrow (Full of Noises), London (Soundcamp), with other locations to join.
